About Palma de Mallorca



Palma, capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Balearic Islands), is a tourist city located in the west of the Mediterranean Sea. The immense Cathedral of Santa María (in 1.5 km from the event hotel), a Gothic monument that began to be built in the 13th century, dominates the skyline of the bay of Palma. Next to this is the Almudaina, an Arab-style fortress converted into a royal residence. To the west of the city, Bellver Castle, situated on top of a hill (in 500 m from the event hotel), is a medieval fortress with a distinctive circular shape.

Cathedral of Santa Maria




The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, more commonly referred to as La Seu, is a Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral. Built by the Crown of Aragón in on the site of a Moorish-era mosque, the cathedral is 121 metres long, 40 metres wide and its nave is 44 metres tall. It is the highest of all Gothic cathedrals.

Castell de Bellver




Castell de Bellver is a Gothic-style castle on a hill 3 km to the west of the center of Palma on the Island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. It was built in the 14th century for King James II of Majorca, and is one of the few circular castles in Europe. First serving as the residence of the Kings of Majorca.

Beaches




There are 262 beaches in Mallorca with a total length of 50 km. The most beautiful are the following: Sa Calobra in Western part is island, Cala Formentor in North, Caló des Moro in South, S’Amarador in South Eastern Mallorca, Cala Mesquida Beach in Northeastern Mallorca.

Drach Caves



The Caves of Drach are four great caves that are located in the island of Majorca, extending to a depth of 25 m and reaching approximately 4 km in length. They are in the municipality of Manacor, near the locality of Porto Cristo.

Palma to Sóller Train



No visit to Mallorca is complete without a jaunt on the Palma to Soller train. The journey, taking an hour to cover the 27 km, will begin in the ticket hall of Palma or Soller train stations which themselves are an historical treat.

Almudaina Royal Palace



La Almudaina is the Royal Palace or Alcázar Real of the city of Palma de Mallorca,and one of the residences of the Spanish royal family. It collects in its walls the history of the islands from the megalithic settlements.
